coupon amazement!

Although, coupons have been a struggle for me for quite some time, I’ve been researching it, and finally put the effort in this past week for Harris Teeter triples!

Here were the results. In 3 shopping trips, using around 50 coupons, including items that we did not have coupons for…

Total saved: $155.56

Total spent: $62.56

I’m sure you might want to know if this is items that we would normally buy. Admittedly, some of the items are NOT, but most are, we racked up on items like turkey bacon, reynolds wrap, household cleaners, croutons, hot sauce, frozen fruit, french fries, canned fruit, jello snacks, mustard and more. Some of these items I will donate to the food bank. And others I will find creative uses for!

dual purpose

Check out this screen window that I am using to hold my earrings and necklaces. I truly love the way it turned out. It’s like, my jewelry became my art work for this wall, I love dual purpose decor!

the desk

I’ve been so inspired lately by the before & afters I’ve found all over the blogosphere, that I decided I must create my own. Maybe it’s spring that brought this out in me.

The first one involves this desk, which was found on the side of the road here in beautiful Wilmington, NC. It went through a transformation, and I even got to repurpose the drawers.

Here are some before’s:

Then, the somewhat finished (somewhat because I still really need to add storage to where the drawers used to be) product in a robin’s egg blue:

Then, the next project was these drawers:

the plunge

I forgot to post pictures from the polar plunge that part of my small group participated in to benefit the Special Olympics. This was so much fun to do with a group of friends! The water was cold, but we made sure to be fully immersed, thanks to Suzanne. The water temperature was in the low 40s. So much fun! Can’t wait to do it again next year.

the exchange was a hit!

This past weekend The Exchange took place in downtown Wilmington at Paralellogram. I got the privelege of being the event Graphic Designer. It was super fun to work on this project! We all have said that we’re looking forward to the next one! Here are a few pictures from the night as well as a slide show for you! If you came out, I hope you enjoyed it! If you didn’t we hope you can catch the next one, whenever it might be.
